How Ductless Heat Pumps Work
Ductless heat pumps transfer air either from the outside in or from indoors outside. Transferring instead of generating heat makes ductless heat pumps more efficient than other heating solutions.
When working as a heating unit, ductless heat pumps utilize an outside unit that pulls in air. Through a refrigerant process, heat is drawn from the air, even when the outside temperature is well below zero. The transferred heat is then moved through a pipe to an indoor unit from which the heat is dispersed.
